LA 131 Business Law I/4 Acquaints students with basic legal terminology and the origin and development of current business law. The legal system and government regulation of business, administrative law, and contracts are reviewed. Uniform commercial code is studied in depth. LA 231 Business Law II/4 Presents fundamentals of sales, agency, and employment relationships. Current concepts in real and personal property, bailments, landlord/tenant contracts, and wills and estate planning are considered. Uniform commercial code is studied in depth. LA 232 Legal Terminology/4 Introduces spelling, pronunciation, definition, and the use of special vocabulary commonly used in the legal profession. LA 252 Legal Office Practice/4 (20-40) Familiarizes students with appropriate legal document formats while enhancing their knowledge of legal terminology. Prerequisite: WP 254 |
