Federal Pell Grant Program

The FAFSA is used to determine if a student qualifies for Federal Financial Aid.  You will need to have certain financial documents available in order to apply, which may include the following:

* Federal Income Tax Return of Student and/or Spouse
* Federal Income Tax Return of Parent(s) (for dependent students)
* Documentation of other income such as Social Security benefits,
  Veterans Benefits, Child Support, etc.
* Huntington Junior College’s Title IV Institution Code:  009047

Students and Parents should apply for an individual US Department of Education PIN number!  The PIN numbers allows students to electronically sign the FAFSA on the Web application.  If you do not have a PIN, you can apply at www.pin.ed.gov.  You should receive your PIN in 7 – 10 days.

If you don’t have a PIN when you use FAFSA on the Web, you will have to print a signature page, sign it, and mail it in.

The FAFSA form is also available in the Financial Aid Office to be completed manually.  Staff is available to assist any student in the completion of the FAFSA.  We will file your application electronically, and have your results within a week of submission.
